New Client Information
Thank you for initiating your journey with me, as I have transitioned from a licensed behavioral health care therapist with 35 years of experience to a life coach and consultant. I owned a private mental health care group practice from 2004–2026 and was not prepared to fully retire when my 2 business partners did, which led to us selling our business. I decided to transition to coaching and consulting to expand some services and bypass some of the barriers of continuing strictly in the mental health field.
The following guidelines will highlight what you can expect as I deliver services to you.
-
I will utilize an active, directive, goal-oriented style with you, helping you clearly identify goals, objective and interventions to get you there. This will also include a personal assessment to get to know you in order to better help you, an assessment of your strengths and barriers which hinder you from achieving your goals.
-
I will supportively challenge you, at times, to make movement and trigger your motivation to move forward.
-
I will do my own scheduling and collections with you on-site, as I will be in solo practice.
-
I will maintain a personal progress chart for you.
-
I will not be giving you a formal diagnosis or treating mental illness in this practice. If you request this, I will help you with referrals to providers who can.
-
I will NOT be utilizing my prior mental health license or billing insurance. I WILL be utilizing my 35 years of experience in the behavioral healthcare field, my college level teaching experience, my experience as a Clinical Director, private practice business owner, founder of a non-profit (WHIIMS), and Doctoral level of education.
-
Since I will not be utilizing my prior mental health licenses (LPCC, LICDC), I will be able to expand my services. This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Individual, family or group coaching
-
Individual, group or corporate consultation/training
-
State/government entity consultation
-
Off-site/out of office coaching, consultation or training
-
Use of social medical/online services
-
Service delivery outside the state of Ohio
