Testimonials

Choosing a coach is personal. These reflections offer insight into Vonnie’s character, approach, and the support she brings to others.

She genuinely cares, listens without judgment, and is deeply committed to helping others become the best version of themselves.

Vonnie has been one of the true gifts of my life. What began as an acquaintance through Bible study gradually grew into a friendship, and a couple of years later, we became neighbors. Over the years, I have had the privilege of seeing who Vonnie truly is—not only as a friend, but as a person who consistently brings wisdom, compassion, strength, and grace into the lives of those around her. There are so many things about Vonnie that have impressed me. I admire the way she serves others, the dedication she brings to both her professional and personal life, and the intentionality and commitment she brings to her relationships. She is quick to help those in need, deeply rooted in her relationship with Christ, and remarkably discerning when faced with difficult circumstances. She is loving, disciplined, resilient, prayerful, and, perhaps most importantly, nonjudgmental. People feel safe with Vonnie because she listens, understands, and meets them where they are. The first time I truly witnessed Vonnie’s gift for helping others was during a crisis in my own family. My nephew was struggling with drug addiction and had reached an extremely low point in his life. Vonnie dropped what she was doing and spent that evening helping our family navigate an intervention. At a time when we felt frightened, overwhelmed, and completely unsure of what to do, she brought clarity, compassion, and practical direction. Her guidance gave our family the confidence to take the steps necessary to get my nephew on a path toward healing. He has now been sober for 15 years. I will always be grateful for the role Vonnie played in helping save his life. Vonnie has also walked beside me through some of the most difficult seasons of my own life, including my cancer diagnosis in 2019 and the unexpected passing of my mother in 2023. During my cancer journey, Vonnie was open and honest about her own experience, which gave me a sense of understanding and companionship that I desperately needed. She consistently checked in on me, listened without judgment, and helped me process the many emotions that came with such a difficult experience. When I lost my mother, she was there again—not necessarily with easy answers, but with the compassion, wisdom, and presence that helped me navigate my grief. What means perhaps the most to me is that Vonnie has extended that same care to my children. She has helped them navigate anxiety, grief, and the challenge of establishing healthy boundaries as they moved through their teenage years and into adulthood. To this day, my children turn to Vonnie because they trust her, respect her, and genuinely love her like family. She has been there for them time and time again. Her encouragement, support, wisdom, and steady presence have helped shape them into the strong, driven, compassionate young adults they are today. I cannot recommend Vonnie highly enough as a life coach. She has an exceptional ability to listen deeply, see what others may not see, offer honest and thoughtful guidance, and help people move forward with greater clarity and confidence. But what makes her truly exceptional is that these qualities are not simply skills she brings to her work—they are qualities she lives out every day. I feel incredibly blessed to call Vonnie my friend. I have experienced firsthand the difference she can make in a person's life, and I know that anyone who has the opportunity to work with her will be in the hands of someone who genuinely cares, listens without judgment, and is deeply committed to helping others become the best version of themselves. She has a natural ability to make others feel seen, heard, and truly cared for.

I can say with complete confidence that Vonne is one of the most genuine, trustworthy, and compassionate people I know. Over the years, I’ve experienced firsthand the way she shows up for people. She is incredibly professional, always reliable, and consistently generous with her time and wisdom. She has a natural ability to make others feel seen, heard, and truly cared for. What stands out most is her heart for helping people become who they are meant to be. She brings a thoughtful, grounded perspective and has a way of bringing clarity when things feel confusing or overwhelming. She helps people navigate life’s transitions, strengthen communication, and move forward with confidence. I’ve also seen how she gently guides people toward greater humility and grace—learning how to apologize, extend forgiveness, and even give that same grace to themselves. That’s not something everyone can teach well, but she lives it and leads others in it. She is deeply rooted in her faith, and that foundation brings a sense of peace, strength, and purpose to the way she supports others, especially for those who want to grow spiritually as well. If you’re looking for someone who is wise, encouraging, and genuinely invested in your growth, Vonnie is someone you can trust completely. Wendy M., Friend & Business Owner

Vonnie provides direct, honest feedback while remaining both kind and compassionate.

I’ve had the honor and privilege of knowing Vonnie for many years. We met when she served as the Clinical Director of a community mental health agency when I joined the team. Vonnie is an exemplary leader and role model. Her passion and dedication to our patients and team were driving forces behind the tremendous growth and development our organization experienced in just a few short years. Vonnie has a unique ability to take complicated, often tedious information and communicate it in a way that others can both understand and embrace. She possesses exceptional creativity and an ability to develop individualized, practical strategies that help others move forward both personally and professionally. One of Vonnie’s greatest strengths is her rare ability to provide direct, honest feedback while remaining both kind and compassionate. I have personally sought out and benefited greatly from her guidance, and I have always valued her willingness to tell me not simply what I wanted to hear, but what I needed to hear in order to grow. I cannot think of a better person to work with one-on-one when pursuing meaningful personal or professional goals. I recommend Vonnie without hesitation to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, insightful, encouraging, and results-oriented partner in their growth. Lisa J., Friend and Former Colleague

Working with Vonnie isn’t passive discussion. It’s movement and progress.

Being Vonnie’s husband of course makes me biased, but being married to her for 38 years makes me well positioned to explain her strengths. Vonnie really loves and cares about people: I watched her over the years truly helping people. While she never divulged names or details, I got to see how much she really cared about them and their well-being. Often while out at an event or visiting a church, people would just run over and excitedly hug her, it was never said, but I assume they were a client and that she really helped them and touched their lives. I also watched her work long hours to fit people in when they needed help. I watched her make phone calls on behalf of a client because they just didn’t know how to effectively manage a situation. I know she really helps people and cares deeply for them. I don’t know how many people she has helped over 38 years, but it’s A LOT and that gives her incredible perspective. She takes action: Vonnie is decisive, she evaluates a situation quickly and then does something about it. She had breast cancer and discovered that there are a lot of costs that insurance doesn’t cover. So, she started a non-profit, WHIIMS, to provide funding for those in need. It has been going strong and growing for years and helped thousands of women who had nowhere to turn. Working with Vonnie isn’t passive discussion, it’s movement and progress. Vonnie is Organized: The key to clarity of mind and not feeling overwhelmed is organization. Not only did Vonnie have counseling practice, but she also ran a business at the same time. She did this so well because she is very organized and efficient. She can help anyone find clarity in their life. Vonnie has a PhD in Counselor Education, years of clinical experience helping people improve their lives, she is organized and directive. She can help you find clarity, identify the source of a problem, take action to resolve issues, and have a more fulfilling life. Ray Bittikofer, Husband

She balances active listening, wise guidance, and authentic connection effortlessly.

Throughout our years of friendship, I have had the privilege of observing Vonnie exhibit the exact qualities that make an exceptional behavioral health therapist. Even as a teenager, she possessed an innate ability to recognize when someone was struggling and felt naturally compelled to offer support—always with deep respect for personal boundaries. Over time, this natural empathy clearly evolved into her professional calling and passion for mental health. As a friend, Vonnie has been an unwavering champion through my own hardship, loss, and pain. What sets her apart is her ability to offer profound support without judgment. I have never felt analyzed or like a client in a session; instead, I feel embraced by a trusted friend who offers comfort, strength, and clarity. She balances active listening, wise guidance, and authentic connection effortlessly. Vonnie’s effectiveness as a clinician is deeply rooted in how she lives her life. Her strong commitment to family, friends, and faith keeps her grounded, while her dedication to her own physical and mental well-being ensures she shows up fully present for her clients. Paired with her expertise in stress management, conflict resolution, boundary setting, and communication, she is a truly dynamic healthcare provider. As Vonnie enters this next chapter, I have no doubt she will continue to empower others to become the best versions of themselves. Helping people heal is not just her career—it is who she is. Vonnie has a great reputation for helping others and solving problems.

I have known Vonnie for 18 years in a variety of setting both formal and informal. I have looked up to Vonnie in many capacities and together we have brainstormed several ways to improve our community and healthcare as a whole. I have worked in the healthcare industry for more than 30 years and know that Vonnie not only has a great reputation for helping others but also for solving problems. Together Vonnie and I have help advocate for better mental health billing and service available through the state. She and I discussed different community problems and her ingenuity and reputation helped her advocate with the state government for more available services that were covered by insurance. Vonnie also saw a problem in the community prior to my meeting her with services to help those women going through cancer and other women’s issues. She created the WHIIMS organization which I have been proud to support. Vonnie and I have been great friends and prayer warriors. Her listening abilities and interpretive skills have been tremendous as I have worked through life. She is available and insightful. She is a kind and clear in discussing issues and explains both her opinion and values clearly. I would recommend anyone to work with Vonnie on issues, bring her into tough community challenges to find solutions, and to assist with talking through steps forward in life.
